About Me: Mike Methe

I turned 50 in October of 2020. I was feeling something I suppose we all feel. Questioning my accomplishments. I have 2 kids, both entering young adult hood and I have a strong career in IT management. What I also had was a trail of lost interests. In dedication to family it is easy to lose track of the things you enjoyed and made you happy when you were young. The outdoors and hiking in particular is something I lost track of. Well, now I’m 50 and those mountains feel MUCH taller, steeper and more grueling. Challenging! I hope to inspire others to first of all find balance and not lose track of your interests, and secondly that its not too late. With conditioning and dedication you can be out there enjoying some amazing hikes.
